The Honorable Mary Beth Pirolozzi was appointed to serve as Register of Wills for Allegany County in August 2017, was elected in November 2018 and again in 2022 to serve a four-year term. Prior to this position, she served as Executive Director of County United Way, Inc. for 12 years, covering counties in Maryland and West Virginia. Her 46-year career has also included over 18 years in state government as District Administrator to two state senators, in addition to working for 16 years at Frostburg State University in personnel, finance, development and alumni programs. A graduate of Frostburg State University, (B.S. Business Administration, M.Ed. Interdisciplinary in Business, Political Science and Public Policy), she continues her active community involvement as a member of the Beall Institute Board at FSU, Bridges to Opportunity Committees, and Imagination Library of Allegany County. Pirolozzi previously served on the WMHS Board and Patient Safety and Credentials Committee; FSU Foundation Board of Directors and the FSU Alumni Board, having served as president, and the Bishop Walsh Board. She also served as City Councilwoman of Cumberland from 2007 through 2013. Mary Beth is an active member of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish. She has a son, Keith, PharmD with Pharmacare at Willowbrook; daughter-in-law, Valerie, RN at WMHS, two grandchildren, Paige and Aiden, and her fury companion, Lulu.
